What do we do?

Abjad Education Initiative serves as a gateway to building society by providing quality education to children and youth.

Our Story

2023

Dynamic Growth: By 2023, Abjad transformed from a small group of volunteers into a dynamic entity with over 90 dedicated volunteers and more than 900 students globally. The focus remained on making a difference in the lives of those affected by conflict and displacement, regardless of their location, fostering a Solid community.

2022

Registration in Germany: WE successfully registered in Germany, enabling the establishment of a community with various activities for children, youth students, and families. These efforts aimed to contribute positively to the German community and promote education for all.

2021

Launch of Yasmin Online School Program: Another exciting development unfolded with the launch of the Yasmin Online School Program. This expanded Abjad reach and impact, empowering teachers in conflict-affected areas and uniting children from around the world as one community.

2020

Launch of Abjad Initiative for Education: A pivotal moment occurred as we launched the Abjad Initiative for Education. Our initiative introduced well-defined programs, including Iqra, Idrak, and Athar, designed to address specific educational needs and gaps.

2019

Adapting to Escalating Conflict: In response to the intensifying Syrian conflict and subsequent internal displacement, we adapted by providing education directly within displacement camps, reaching those most affected.

2018

Establishment of Abjad Education Center: A significant milestone was achieved with the establishment of the Abjad Educational Center in a conflict-affected area in Syria. The centre aimed to provide quality education to 200 displaced children, offering them the knowledge necessary for academic success.

2015

Emergence of "Maloom": As volunteers dispersed to different countries, including Germany, the idea of "Maloom" was conceived. This concept focused on creating a continuous fund to support those in need through humanitarian organizations.

Before 2015

Group of 20 Volunteers: A dedicated group of 20 volunteers engaged in various humanitarian efforts in response to conflicts and crises in Syria.
