Who are we?

We are a group of young men and women from around the world with diverse professional and academic backgrounds. We believe that human development begins with knowledge and awareness.

We design and implement quality educational projects for displaced children and youth, using a comprehensive approach that aims for the all-around development of children and youth, their sustainable livelihood, their integration into society, that enables them to participate in the mainstream development process and contributes to building a sustainable community through education.

What do we do?

Abjad Education Initiative serves as a gateway to building society by providing quality education to children and youth.

Our Story

2018

Volunteers established theAbjad Educational Center in the summer.

2019

In March, the Syrian conflict escalated, rate of internal displacement grew.

2020

Teach Me Project was launched.

2021

In September, Yasmin Online School was launched.

Our Mission

Activating a flexible, structured, targeted model of educational volunteerism, in which everyone can bring about societal change and positive impacts on the lives of children and youth (male and female) by supporting them in their educational and professional careers.

Our Values

We believe that the educational programs in Abjad must have a cumulative impact, aimed at enabling target communities to complete the learning process and acquire the educational knowledge, personal skills and community values needed to secure a sustainable future.

We believe that education is the right of every human being to develop themselves and their society regardless of any ethnic affiliations or belief.

We believe that we can create quality solutions and use modern technologies in the educational process to meet complex challenges, to ensure the opportunity for quality education for each student depending on the places and conditions of their presence.

We believe that addressing human suffering in education, wherever it exists, is a duty, and therefore we must provide safe educational opportunities, respecting human dignity and humanity.

We believe that the educational process should include all students from all backgrounds, regardless of any challenges they may have, by accepting, understanding, and considering the differences and diversity of students.
