As the academic term concludes in 05/2024, more than 900 students face a disruption in their educational journey, exposing them once again to the threats of child labor, early marriages, and an escalation of domestic violence. Therefore, your support will: 

• Empower the education of students aged 6-12, nurture their personalities, skills, and awareness.
• Offer equal opportunities for social cohesion and development for our valued volunteers.
• Strengthen family bonds through social interactions and promote deeper concepts of upbringing and education.
• Foster opportunities for ABJAD’s team to thrive, grow, and refine their skills.

Students in Focus - Who?

Children aged 6-12, facing severe psychological impacts and at risk of educational disengagement due to conflict.

Our Approach - How?

• Establishing secure and sustainable educational facilities across three crucial stages, offering a diverse curriculum that encompasses educational, social, and psychological dimensions.
• Enriching the curriculum, conducting tests, and facilitating a seamless transition to a new educational phase at the end of the academic year.
• Introducing life skills, promoting values, and guiding self-building and personality development.
• Implementing psychological support activities, monitoring, and addressing special cases.
• Elevating the competencies of our educational and administrative teams, providing volunteer opportunities, and fostering a united community.

Anticipated Impact - What?

• Successful completion of an entire educational phase within the official education system for 960 children.
• Integrating protection with education, ensuring the provision of psychological support activities, and implementing a robust case management system for children.
• Sustaining the operation of three schools in makeshift camps.
• Enhancing service facilities and infrastructure within these educational centers.
• Creating around 50 job opportunities.
• Encouraging community participation through more than 20 volunteering opportunities.

Project Milestones and Funding

Our project is divided into two distinct phases:

1. Summer Compensatory Education and Preparation (1/6/2024 - 31/8/2024):

• Objective: Focused efforts to achieve educational milestones, provide support, and engage students in recreational activities during the summer.
• Duration: June 1, 2024, to August 31, 2024.
• Purpose: Prepare students for the upcoming academic year.
• Total Cost: $41,900.

1. New Academic Year 2024-2025 (1/9/2024 - 31/5/2025):

• Objective: Sustain the momentum from the summer phase, ensuring a smooth transition into the new academic year.
• Duration: September 1, 2024, to May 31, 2025.
• Total Cost: $130,900.
